GATE looks for researchers graduated abroad

Driven by the ambition to attract young researchers who have completed their education outside Bulgaria, the GATE Institute took part in Tuk-Tam Kosher, an inspiring event for professional opportunities, meeting with new technologies, ideas and people who implement them.

The forum was held as a hybrid event on September 17, 2020 at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia and online. GATE participated with a virtual stand that was open all day long. The stand had 10 visitors – mostly young people who were still in process of completing their education abroad. They were impressed by the opportunities for research and career development at the GATE Institute and demonstrated high interest in future collaboration.

As part of the live programme of the event, the GATE director, prof. Sylvia Ilieva presented the main activities and strengths of the Institute. Her presentation attracted the attention of several young people attending the event on-site.

The participants, who contacted GATE, highly appreciated the presence of a research institute at a forum for career development, where usually companies are represented. The GATE team intend to maintain the contacts established at the event.
